A useful fit for

Following two foods with separate targets when local control and phone viewing should share the included kit.

The main tradeoff

Undated page FAQs conflict with the versioned manual and specification table; sustained ambient monitoring is limited to 662°F rather than an unqualified 752°F.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I follow two foods and their nearby air without a probe cable?

Yes. Two supplied probes each contain internal and ambient sensors. Set separate targets and keep both internal sections properly inserted; twelve sensors do not create twelve food channels.

Does its 752°F specification cover a 700°F cook lasting an hour?

No. The exact version 6.0 manual limits exposure above 662°F to twenty minutes. The sustained plan therefore fails 700°F surroundings, while the separate brief-exposure specification remains documented.

Can a rotating spit use this included cable-free arrangement?

The maker's Sync cooking-use guide explicitly supports rotisserie operation. That permission still requires the exact probe insertion and heat-duration restrictions, and a reliable link to the base.

The Typhur Sync Dual WT03 fits a two-food monitoring routine when you want cable-free probes and a base you can read without keeping a phone in your hand. It also includes the supported Wi-Fi bridge for app access. Buy against the exact linked manual and package: the manufacturer's page contains conflicting FAQ numbers, and its highest ambient rating has a duration condition that matters during hot cooking.

Two separate targets are the useful upgrade

A larger cut and a smaller portion may not finish together. Two supplied probes let you leave each in its intended position, follow both temperatures and choose separate targets. That is the practical reason to move beyond a one-probe kit. If one roast covers nearly every meal you cook, the second channel may add storage and cleaning work without improving your routine.

Each probe combines five internal sensors and an ambient sensor. It remains one food probe, with local chamber information near its exposed handle. The ambient reading can help explain why two positions behave differently, but it does not map an entire barbecue. Nor do five internal sensors prove that every part of a large, irregular food has reached the same temperature.

The local screen and phone route share one kit

The exact US Sync Dual page lists the display base, two probes and a USB-C cable. The base is a charging case, local control/display and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi bridge. You do not need to purchase a separate gateway merely to use the documented internet-viewing arrangement, although a supported 2.4GHz home network and connected phone are still needed.

The probe link is Bluetooth, with manufacturer claims of up to 400 feet in open space and 135 feet in an enclosed condition. These claims are not a measurement of your kitchen. Put the base where both the cooker and your network can reach it, then test the actual arrangement. A phone connected to the internet cannot recover readings that never reached the base.

Use the versioned manual to interpret conflicting numbers

The linked Sync Dual manual, version 6.0 dated August 2024, agrees with the current product specification table on a 32–221°F internal range, a 32–752°F ambient range and IPX8 probes. Elsewhere, the same product page's FAQ gives different temperatures and an IP67 description. We retain that conflict rather than silently mixing the figures into a new specification.

The manual's safeguards are more restrictive than reading only the largest number: do not cook above 662°F for twenty minutes, or above 752°F for two minutes. The finder represents sustained monitoring at or below 662°F. A brief higher-temperature exposure is a separate, qualified condition, not a reason to match a long cook at the headline ceiling.

Placement protects the lower-rated part

Insert beyond the safety line so the internal sensors are inside the food, while the ceramic handle remains exposed. An internal sensor's 221°F limit does not rise to the ambient sensor's maximum just because both sit in the same probe. If the food is too thin to accommodate the required insertion, this kit is not a convenient substitute for a handheld check.

Keep the base outside cooking heat, follow the exclusions for microwaves and pressure cookers, and plan a safe place for hot probes after cooking. The maker's Sync cooking-use guide explicitly discusses oven, smoker, pan and rotating-spit applications. Those uses still require the exact manual's insertion and heat restrictions; cable-free operation alone is not the evidence for them.

Decide how the alert should behave

Manual mode alerts at a selected target; Smart mode estimates an earlier removal point and a resting state. The base lets you adjust cooking settings, while the app adds phone viewing. The manual warns that Bluetooth messages may not arrive immediately and recommends Wi-Fi for the app route. Test alerts before depending on them from another room.

The current manufacturer page permits dishwasher cleaning of the probes, but the base is excluded. Let the probes cool, avoid the manual's prohibited cleaning agents and protect the charging contacts. The rechargeable system needs both probe and base batteries prepared; it is not battery-free simply because no disposable cells appear in the box.

Our purchase judgment

Choose the Dual for two properly inserted foods and flexible local/network monitoring. Compare the Sync One for a single-food routine or the InstaProbe Core for sequential checks of smaller pieces. Confirm the actual manual and supplied probes before purchase, especially where an offer repeats the conflicting FAQ figures.

Compare two-food monitors with a local alert and simultaneous chamber information, then add the heat requirement of your cooking setup.

Manufacturer accuracy claimThe exact manual states internal accuracy of ±0.5°F from 32 to 221°F. Each probe has five internal sensors and one ambient sensor. No independent trial, response time or user offset procedure is established.
Power arrangementTwo rechargeable probes, a rechargeable base and a USB-C cable are included. The manual lists a 3.7 V, 3020 mAh base battery and a minimum 5 V, 1400 mA USB supply. A mains adapter is not listed as included. A battery-replacement procedure was not established.
Care notesThe current maker page permits dishwasher cleaning of the probes. The base is not waterproof and must not be immersed or put in the dishwasher. Cool the probes first; follow the manual's exclusions for prolonged immersion and specified alcohol, ammonium, benzene and abrasive cleaners.
