Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the included kit watch two foods and their nearby chamber readings?
Yes. Two supplied food probes each combine internal and ambient sensors. Both foods can be monitored without sacrificing a food channel to an optional grate probe, provided each needle is inserted correctly.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I follow it away from home without buying another bridge?
Yes, using the included network-capable base, supported 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and the Typhur app. The base still needs a working radio connection to the probes; internet access does not extend that first link.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I choose dishwasher-cleanable food probes for leave-in monitoring?
Yes, for the cooled Gold food probes under the manual’s cleaning instructions. The base must stay outside the dishwasher and water; dry the charging contacts before docking the probes.
Explore this need in the finder →The Typhur Sync Gold Dual WT05 is worth considering when two foods need their own targets and you want to follow both from a standalone display or a phone. Its two cable-free probes and included Wi-Fi base form a complete monitoring kit. The purchase only makes sense if the food can accommodate the required insertion and you can keep the base connected, charged and outside the cooking heat.
Two probes solve a specific dinner problem
Imagine a larger roast and a smaller piece that may finish first. A single measurement channel forces you to choose which one to watch. The Gold Dual supplies two actual food probes, letting you position each deliberately and assign separate targets. It is also useful when two substantial portions need different finishing points. It will not continuously follow four separate foods just because each probe contains several sensors.
Each probe combines five internal sensors with one ambient sensor. The chamber reading comes from the exposed end near that food, not from a separate grate probe in a distant corner. That is helpful context when the grill's lid gauge disagrees. The two instruments may simply be measuring different places, with different airflow and proximity to the food.
The included base is more than a charging case
The exact US product page and US-version manual establish a base with a 2.4-inch color display and local cooking controls. You can check the cook there instead of keeping an app open. The same base charges the probes and connects the kit to the supported phone/network arrangement.
Sub-1G carries the probe-to-base link. Bluetooth and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi serve the app side. Typhur advertises up to 3,000 feet in open space and 700 feet in a closed-space condition; these are manufacturer claims, not a promise about your oven and walls. Locate the base where it can communicate with the cooking enclosure and your network. An internet connection cannot repair a lost connection between probe and base.
Read the internal and external temperatures separately
The documented food range is 32–221°F, while the exposed ambient sensor has a 32–932°F range. Those numbers apply to different parts of an inserted probe. The steel sensing section must pass the safety line into suitable food without burying the ceramic handle. A thin cut that leaves internal sensors exposed to hot air does not become suitable merely because the headline heat number looks generous.
The manual also warns against cooking above 932°F for two minutes. We do not turn that warning into permission to exceed the rated limit. Keep the base away from hot surfaces, and follow the exclusions for microwaves and pressure cookers. Consider flare-ups and how you will remove a hot probe before starting, rather than improvising when the handle is already difficult to reach.
A temperature target and a prediction are different aids
Manual mode alerts at the selected target. Smart mode estimates when to remove the food and follows a resting state. That can help coordinate the side dishes, but it does not establish that an estimated time is a guarantee. The probe's position and the food's actual behavior still determine what the system can observe.
The manual supports Bluetooth app messages but warns that they may not arrive instantaneously; it recommends Wi-Fi for the app route. If a timely phone alert is your reason for buying, test notifications and connectivity in the place where you intend to cook. Also check that the person using the kit understands which probe number corresponds to which food.
Keep washing and charging routines separate
Typhur explicitly permits dishwasher cleaning of the probes on the current product page. That permission does not include the base. Let hot probes cool before washing, avoid the cleaners excluded by the manual and ensure the charging contacts are clean before returning them to their slots. The system contains rechargeable, non-replaceable batteries and needs a planned charging routine.
The Premium Gift Edition adds a fitted storage case to the same two-probe measuring configuration. It is a packaging and storage choice, not an extra food channel or a different radio system. Confirm the exact box contents if the case matters; the ordinary Gold Dual package lists the base, two probes, a USB-C cable and the manual.
Who should buy a different setup?
For one monitored food with a simple audible local alarm, compare the ChefAlarm. For checking many small pieces one after another, compare the InstaProbe Core. Gold Dual's practical strength is two independent food positions with local and network viewing. It is a poor substitute for a handheld check when the food is too small for its required insertion.
Compare two-food monitors with chamber readings and internet alerts to see which documented arrangements meet that complete routine.
Key details at a glance

|---|---|
| Included food probes | 2 |
| Fahrenheit display | Yes |
| Celsius display | Yes |
| Dishwasher-safe food probe | Yes |
| Measuring without batteries or charging | No |
| Documented food range minimum | 32°F |
| Documented food range maximum | 221°F |
| Whole probe surrounding-heat maximum | 932°F |
| Manufacturer accuracy claim | The manufacturer states internal accuracy of ±0.5°F. Each probe has five internal sensors and one ambient sensor. A calibration certificate does not establish user adjustment. No response-time claim or independent trial is used. |
| Power arrangement | Two rechargeable probes, a rechargeable base and a USB-C cable are included. The manual describes non-replaceable batteries and a minimum 5 V, 1400 mA USB supply. A mains adapter is not listed as included. |
| Care notes | The current maker page permits dishwasher cleaning of the probes. Let them cool first. The base is not waterproof and must not be immersed or put in the dishwasher. The manual excludes prolonged immersion and specified alcohol, ammonium, benzene and abrasive cleaners. |
