Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this box include enough probes to monitor four foods and their air?
Yes. Four supplied WTP05 probes each combine internal and ambient sensors in the current linked Gen2 manual. Each still needs suitable food and insertion beyond its safety notch.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I use the 752°F headline for an hour at 650°F surroundings?
No. The current Gen2 manual limits exposure above 572°F to ten minutes. Its sustained monitoring plan therefore fails a 650°F surrounding-heat requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I choose each target and view the four-food cook locally?
Yes. The included base supplies local target controls, manual-mode temperature alerts and a 3.5-inch display. Phone viewing is another route, not an extra food-probe channel.
Explore this need in the finder →The Typhur Sync Quad WT08 is a four-food monitoring kit for cooks whose meals genuinely involve several independently finishing items. Four supplied cable-free probes share a local display and the supported Wi-Fi app bridge. This assessment follows the current linked Gen2 manual and its WTP05 probe configuration. It does not turn the 752°F headline into permission for an indefinitely hot cook.
Four food positions, rather than four occasional checks
The strongest use case is a barbecue with several substantial portions that need to remain in their own places. Each can keep a probe while you follow the group. That saves the repeated repositioning required by a single monitor, but it also means identifying four hot probes and keeping their targets associated with the correct food.
Each probe has five internal sensors and one ambient sensor. You can therefore monitor four foods with local chamber information near their exposed handles. The internal sensors do not create twenty separate food measurements, and four ambient readings do not describe every point in a large smoker. They describe the positions where the probes actually sit.
A larger base can reduce phone handling
The US Sync Quad page lists a 3.5-inch color display and the base's charging and network-bridge roles. The included package has four probes, the base and a USB-C cable. A local display can be convenient when your hands are occupied and you want to glance at the group without unlocking a phone.
For app monitoring, the documented arrangement uses Bluetooth or the base's supported 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Internet access depends on the network and phone connections as well as a functioning probe-to-base link. Test the complete route where you cook. Moving the base to improve the Wi-Fi signal may worsen its connection to a shielded cooking enclosure, so placement is a real part of setup.
Keep the current manual configuration identifiable
The manufacturer's current download is labeled Gen2 in its filename; its cover says version 1.1 and the specification identifies WTP05 probes. That is the edition used here. The page and manual differ in their base-body dimensions, so this review does not use those figures to claim a particular shelf fit or an unproved physical revision.
Manual mode provides an alert at the selected target; Smart mode predicts a removal point and follows a resting state. A prediction can help coordinate a meal, but it is still based on what the correctly positioned sensors report. It cannot identify an unmeasured cold area or choose suitable food guidance for you.
The longer-cook limit is lower than the headline
The exact linked Gen2 manual specifies internal readings from 32 to 221°F and an ambient range up to 752°F. Its safeguards also prohibit ambient exposure above 572°F for more than ten minutes. The finder uses 572°F for the sustained monitoring plan, keeping the higher rating as a short-exposure condition.
Insert past the safety notch so the lower-rated internal sensors remain inside suitable food, without covering the ceramic handle. A spare channel does not make a thin portion large enough to protect the probe. Keep the base off hot surfaces and follow the exclusions for microwaves and pressure cookers. If a probe overheats or disconnects, investigate instead of trusting the last plausible number.
Four probes create a preparation routine
Charge the probes and base before a long cook, check their indicators and clean the charging contacts before returning the probes to their slots. The exact manual describes non-replaceable batteries. The USB-C cable in the contents list does not establish that a mains adapter comes with the package.
The manual explicitly permits hand washing or dishwasher cleaning of the cooled probes. It excludes the base from immersion and dishwashing and prohibits specified harsh cleaners. Cool the probes before washing; suddenly running a hot probe under cold water is also excluded. Organize a safe place for the probes after cooking so the four-channel advantage does not become a cluttered cleanup problem.
Which four-probe kit suits the actual cook?
Compare the Gold Quad when its different radio arrangement and documented ambient conditions matter. Compare the Sync Dual when two foods are enough. The Quad is most useful when four appropriately sized foods really need continuous attention; it is a more elaborate answer than a handheld thermometer for occasional checks.
Compare four-food cable-free monitors with a local alert and chamber readings, then specify the surrounding heat your entire cook requires.

| Manufacturer accuracy claim | The maker states internal accuracy of ±0.5°F for WTP05 probes. Each probe has five internal sensors and one ambient sensor. No numeric response time or independent trial is established. |
| Power arrangement | Four rechargeable probes, a rechargeable base and a USB-C cable are included. The exact manual describes non-replaceable batteries and a minimum 5 V, 1400 mA USB supply. A mains adapter is not listed as included. Keep all charging contacts clean. |
| Care notes | Let the probes cool before hand washing or dishwasher cleaning. The base is not waterproof and must not be immersed or put in the dishwasher. Follow the manual's exclusions for specified cleaners, rinsing hot probes with cold water, microwave use and pressure-cooker use. |
